When first doing concept work for Yes! You Can Quit, the client described to us the feeling a smoker would experience when they finaly quit. This feeling was the basis of the logo. The strut, if you will, of a confident, proud and new non-smoker was the mental picture we drew from to create the beat and bass line.
The lyrical content was drawn partially from a pool of phrases provided by the client and massaged to fit into the song in a fluid manner.
On the production side, there were opportunities to perform new and interesting vocal manipulations, which added a key element to the chorus sections of the logo. It's always a joy to add another "arrow" to our quiver of studio magic.
